“Episode VIII” Will be Written and Directed by Rian Johnson

Huge news on the “Star Wars” front today as Deadline reports that “Looper” writer/director Rian Johnson will be taking reins from J. J. Abrams after “Episode VII.”

While Lucasfilm has yet to make any official announcements on the matter, Johnson himself may or may not have confirmed the speculation with a tongue-in-cheek tweet which included this video clip:
